Prayer (n.) a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God
A whisper in Beauty Queen's fuzzy ear before we enter the ring, asking for strength. - I pray - As I drift off to sleep at night, thanking Him for all the gifts He's given me, the people He has put in my path, and the opportunities He has extended to me daily. - I pray - Each night at the supper table, "Come Lord Jesus, be our guest. And let these gifts to us be blessed. O' give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good. And His mercy endures us forever. Amen." - I pray - Asking Him to help me grow in His faith, to keep believing, to put my life in His hands. - I pray - I believe. I believe in Him. His Power. His grace. His strength. I have faith in Him. For He has a plan for me. I get confirmed in less than a month. Finding a Bible verse and writing a faith statement are part of the confirmation process, and I am truly struggling to know what to write. God has given me so many blessings in my short life, but I have my entire future to look forward to. And I need His help to be able to accomplish all the goals I have set for myself. He has blessed me with the most AMAZING family. Mom. Words can not describe. She is my support system, my roots and my common sense some days. She works so hard, just keeping all of our schedules straight and making sure we are in the right place and at the right time. She supports my decisions and the activities I want to participate in. She is the best Stock Show Mom I know. I really could not have asked for a better mom. She helps me believe in my future. Dad. Incredible. He works so hard, he really doesn't stop. Between his job and the "ranch", as he likes to call it, he doesn't sit for long. He supports my brother and my accomplishments and all the activities we are involved in. Dad and I have a special connection because of our love and passion for agriculture and the show cattle industry. He is the reason I started showing sheep when I was 3, why I was leading a heifer around Hutchinson, Kansas by age 5, and why I am still doing it today with even more determination and passion. Thank you Dad for giving me the opportunity to find what I truly love to do. Tanner. My little brother is the picture perfect athlete. Intelligent, kind, responsible, driven, adorable, and he's only 12. He has a passion for sports, and that's where we differ. But that doesn't stop us from supporting each other. Yes, we watch WAY too much NFL Channel at our house, but he thinks I sing too much. So we're even. Love ya, little man. I think that's just how God planned our family. We all have our differences, strengths, & weaknesses, and that is why it works. Among the many blessings He has given me, I see strength as a gift that is useful in almost any situation. Strength is something He has given me, and I thank those around me for showing me how to utilize that gift. - I pray - A word of thanks for everything He has given me. - Amen - "She is clothed in STRENGTH and dignity. And laughs without fear of the FUTURE" -Proverbs 31:25
